Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect and assess the quality, strength, and safety of welding work
• Ensure welds comply with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry codes
• Conduct visual inspections and advanced NDT methods including dye penetrant and magnetic particle testing
• Review and verify welding procedures, techniques, and specifications
• Monitor the condition and suitability of welding equipment and materials
• Set up mechanical testing schedules and coordinate with quality control teams
• Generate and propose new welding techniques when required
• Supervise welders and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards
• Produce comprehensive inspection reports, documentation, and defect tracking logs
Qualifications/Experience:
🔹 CSWIP Welding Inspector certification (or equivalent)
🔹Certified to carry out visual, dye penetrant, and magnetic particle testing
🔹Proven track record as a Welding Inspector on large-scale industrial, mechanical or infrastructure projects
🔹Strong understanding of welding procedures, codes, and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.)
🔹Excellent communication, supervisory and reporting skills
Desirable:
🔸 Ability to identify issues early and recommend appropriate corrective action
🔸Comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
🔸Experience in data centre or industrial M&E projects is advantageous
🔸Attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a wider project team
