
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to join our finance function.
The Management Accountant is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the accounts function within ASEE Group.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of Group Management accounts
Assist in development and reporting KPIs
Assist in the preparation of the monthly Board Report
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Review of bank and supplier reconciliations
Preparation of UK VAT/Payroll/sub‐contractor/other statutory returns prior to submission
Assist in the preparation of branch CIT/VAT/Payroll/sub‐contractor/other statutory returns prior to submission
Preparation of Annual FS and audit files for the annual financial audit.
Preparation of annual budget and business plans.
Preparation of Grant applications and claims.
Developing and improving the company’s financial systems and processes
Mentoring and developing other finance staff
Ensuring that all statutory surveys are submitted in a timely manner
Any other task that may be requested by the directors or line manager
Qualifications/Experience:
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent.
Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within engineering, construction, or related sectors.
Strong track record in preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
Knowledge of project accounting and cost control is advantageous.
Experience of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong understanding of UK financial reporting standards, VAT, and compliance requirements.
Ability to work collaboratively with both finance and operational teams.
