Commissioning Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Commissioning Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure projects, ensure operational efficiency, and drive seamless system integration and performance. The ideal candidate will oversee the full commissioning lifecycle from planning and testing through final validation while managing project documentation and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance and standards: ensuring all commissioning activities align with project specifications, industry standards, and approved procedures.

Testing and validation: conducting system testing, interface checks, and performance verification to confirm installation accuracy and reliability.

Documentation and change control: maintaining commissioning records, test scripts, and tracking as-built changes throughout the process.


Equipment and tools: identifying and managing specialist tools and test equipment required for commissioning activities.


Subcontractor oversight: reviewing procedures, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing on-site and factory acceptance testing.


Planning and coordination: supporting test planning, construction coordination, and programme management to protect commissioning schedules.


Leadership and mentoring: directing and supporting commissioning engineers, assistant engineers, and leading designated project areas.


Progress reporting: delivering weekly updates to senior management, highlighting achievements, risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications/Experience:
  •   5+ years of experience in a senior commissioning role.

  •   Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and identifying software bugs during commissioning.

  •  Proficiency in Google Suite software (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).

  •  Eligibility to work in UK

  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
