Gerard joined ASEE Group in 2002 as a Commissioning Manager for various projects, from call centres to Hospitals throughout Ireland. Gerard then moved into the medical field where he spent three years installing and commissioning medical equipment in theatres, ICU’s and HDU’s.

Over the course of the last 15 years, Gerard has progressed through Construction management, Commissioning management and Project Management and has recently taken up a directorship within the business to manage Power Generation projects extensively in Europe delivering mission critical power generation systems of 30mW and above in the data centre industry.

Gerard's relationship with the Strain family goes well beyond his time within the business having grown up as neighbours. "Over two thirds of my working career have been with ASEE Group. Within that time, I have witnessed the expansion and growth of the ASEE Group into the remarkable business it is today. During this transition and expansion what struck me most was ASEE's ability to maintain its core principles of a Family Business with Family Values"
